The H. C. Andersen Ballet Mobile is designed by Christian Flensted in 1993 to commemorate the 190th anniversary of Hans Christian Andersen’s birth. Inspired by Andersen’s fascination with ballet and his thousands of paper cuttings, white ballerinas weave gracefully around the red mandarin, creating a light and poetic expression. A tribute to one of Denmark’s greatest storytellers and his imaginative universe.
